Tsujiri is not known for soba and soup noodles, but still enjoyed it during a chilly day. It is known for its matcha beverages. You can customize your beverages to your liking including for those who are lactose intolerant. Despite it being chilly, my GO-TO is the O-mathca ice blend! A good balance of matcha and ice for a savoury drink no matter the time of the year.

You know, rhe amount of time I go to Tsujiri, grabbing a Genmaicha and, at times, a dessert, I've never actually tried their dishes. This time, with my partner, we went ahead and got their Dashi Chazuke. Salmon for her, Unagi (eel) for me. Gotta say, food was so good, I'm tempted to try to make it at home. (Also Genmaicha and Yuzu tea for drinks).

If you like macha, hojicha and Japanese cakes, this is a nice cafe that you must visit. The ambience is quiet and peaceful. Cake and ice-cream with strong green tea flavour and the sweetness is just right.

A must-visit for matcha lovers. They serve high-quality matcha straight from Japan, and you can really taste the richness and depth of flavor in every item. The matcha is bold, earthy, and not overly sweet—just the way it should be. Their menu has a great selection, from soft serve and parfaits to lattes and traditional Japanese desserts. I ordered the signature matcha parfait and the hojicha roll cake, and both were excellent. The parfait had a perfect balance of flavors and textures—rich and creamy matcha soft serve and jelly, roasted brown rice is on the bitter side, but red bean paste underneath balanced it out perfectly. Every bite was satisfying without being overly heavy. The hojicha roll cake was light and fluffy, with a deep roasted tea flavor that paired beautifully with the creamy filling. It wasn’t too sweet, which I really appreciated. Everything is well-balanced. If you love authentic Japanese tea desserts, Tsujiri is definitely worth a visit!

adorable place to get matcha sweets and work on your assignments! the owner is super friendly and i've only had great experiences with the staff and the food! only downside is that, while it has tons of seating places, the cafe gets crowded really fast and almost never has any free tables, so get there early!

It’s not easy to find an authentic Japanese restaurant in Montreal at such an affordable price, but Tsujiri is a great choice for us. I could easily eat here every week. The matcha ice cream is my favorite—perfectly balanced and not too sweet.

I don’t even like matcha lol but the few non matcha option I’ve tried when I came here with matcha fans were delicious the poke soba tastes sooo unique and so good!! I like the yuzu iced tea, simple but good. And the sakura matcha cake they have in spring sometimes is always delicious, small but really good! Also the place is really pretty and the employees are nice
